Robert Schoenthal
Senior Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Schoenthal began his career at L.F. Rothschild and moved up through the ranks of the fixed-income department to become Rothschild's co-chief executive officer. Throughout his career at Rothschild, Mr. Schoenthal was involved in a variety of aspects of fixed-income and equity securities, including investment banking, trading and sales, and research. From 1988 to 1990, Mr. Schoenthal was president of Michael Swerdlow Co., a real estate development company purchased by a group of investors, including Triarc Corp. and American Express. In 1991, he joined with Mr. Miller to form Citation Financial Group, which was the initial predecessor of Miller Tabak Roberts Securities, LLC. Mr. Schoenthal is also acting head of the Firm's MBS / ABS Department.
Joel E. Miller
Senior Managing Director / Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Miller started his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. and was promoted to audit partner in 1974. From 1974 to 1977, Mr. Miller lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he ran Andersen's Latin American Capital Markets practice. He later became the head of that firm's worldwide capital markets practice. In 1987, Mr. Miller was recruited to join L.F. Rothschild as chief financial officer. In 1991, he joined with Mr. Schoenthal to form Citation Financial Group, which was the initial predecessor of Miller Tabak Roberts Securities, LLC.

Christopher J. Ankner
Managing Director, High Yield Sales / Head of Dealer Sales Department
After serving for six years in the United States Navy, Mr. Ankner began his career in finance in 1986 and cultivated his skills as a high yield bond trader at Mabon Securities and later at Ryan, Beck and Co. In 1992, Mr. Ankner joined MTR's predecessor Citation Financial Group as a high yield salesperson, and he was appointed managing director in 1999. He is presently heads the firm's Dealer Sales Department and is a senior member of the high yield institutional sales team.
Vincent Arrigali
Managing Director, Global Bond Trading / Head of International Department
Mr. Arrigali joined MTR's International Department in 2008 to trade high-grade, sovereign and quasi-sovereign products. He assumed overall responsibility for the Department in 2010. He was recruited to MTR from a trading-desk role at Standard Bank, and had previous experience at Wachovia Capital Markets and Prudential Financial.
Michael Bowman
Managing Director, High Yield Trading / Head of HY and IG Trading
Mr. Bowman began his professional career on Wall Street in 1993. First working as a high yield analyst for the Merrion Group, Mr. Bowman was recruited by MTR in 1994 and has since developed extensive expertise in the distressed securities market. He is the High Yield Department's primary distressed bond trader and is head of trading for the High Yield Department and the Investment Grade Department. Mr. Bowman was appointed managing director in 1999.
George Caffrey, CFA
Head of Research
Prior to joining MTR in 2010, Mr. Caffrey held positions with both Knight Libertas LLC and RBC Capital Markets including Director of Research and Head of Capital Markets. Earlier in his career, Mr. Caffrey was a senior portfolio manager managing mutual funds and institutional accounts for both Alliance Bernstein and AIG Global Investment Corp.
Jose Maria Gordo
Managing Director, International Sales / Branch Manager of Miami Office
Mr. Gordo's experience in the emerging markets sector spans more than seventeen years including various executive positions with Venezuela's Corp Banca NY Branch (formerly Banco Consolidado NY Branch). In 1995 he joined Cantor Fitzgerald where he played a principal role in establishing and managing its emerging markets Eurobond desk focusing on Latin America. In 2000, Mr. Gordo was brought on to manage MTR's Miami office, and he was appointed director in 2004.
Michael Keller
Director of Operations
After starting his career in 1995 with JB Hanauer and Co., Mr. Keller went on to hold several titles at Pershing Investments, including as manager of the preferred client and active trader groups. In 2001 he left Pershing to join Bear Stearns, where he was the senior vice president of relationship management, a position he held until 2005, when he became director of operations for MTR.
Jeremy Koster
Managing Director, Convertible Trading / Co-Head of Convertible Department
Prior to joining MTR, Mr. Koster spent several years at Gruntal & Co., where he served as a liaison between the Wall Street brokerage community and the institutional sales force, and he began trading convertible bonds trades in both institutional and retail markets. In 1995, Mr. Koster joined MTR's convertible bond desk; he was promoted to managing director in 2003 and currently serves as co-head of, and a trader for, the Convertible Department.
Ilan Lessick
Director, Chief Financial Officer / Chief Compliance Officer / Head of Credit and Counterparty Risk
After qualifying as a chartered accountant in South Africa, Mr. Lessick worked for a number of years in the internal audit division of Citibank, London. He subsequently joined Investec Bank Limited, where he spent over ten years working in their risk management division heading up their internal audit and operational risk areas, and later became risk director of their US subsidiary. Mr. Lessick, who is a director, was recruited by MTR in 2003 to oversee compliance and risk management, and was subsequently promoted to the role of Chief Financial Officer and designated Chief Compliance Officer.
Adam Margulies
Managing Director, Convertible Trading / Co-Head of Convertible Department
Mr. Margulies' experience as a convertible bond expert extends back to 1993, when he began his career as a convertible trader for Mabon Securities. In 1995, Mr. Margulies was recruited by MTR to spearhead the firm's convertible bond desk, and he was appointed managing director in 1999. He currently serves as co-head of and a trader for the Convertible Department, and also has overall responsibility for the Preferred Securities Department and the OTC and Distressed / Reorg Equity Department.
Ignacio Martin-Duarte
Managing Director, International Sales / Branch Manager of Dallas Office
Mr. Duarte started his career at Banco Santander as a senior officer from 1993 until 1996. He then had a brief stint at UBS Warburg and subsequently was hired at ING Barings Securities in late 1996, where he served as director of high yield sales and vice president, specializing in emerging markets. In 2002, MTR welcomed him to the Dallas office, and he became managing director in 2005.
Adam Rosenblum
Managing Director, High Yield Trading
Mr. Rosenblum began his Wall Street career as a credit analyst for CIT Financial Services. In 1986, Mr. Rosenblum was recruited by Mabon Securities, where he was responsible for trading electric utility corporate bonds; three years later, he became a senior trader in the firm's high yield department. In 1993, Mr. Rosenblum joined MTR and established the firm's dealer desk operation. A specialist in trading telecommunications and energy issues, Mr. Rosenblum was appointed managing director in 1999.
John Rudd, CFA
Managing Director, High Yield Sales / HY and IG Sales Manager
Mr. Rudd started his career in the bond department of Burns Fry, where he worked from 1984 until 1987. He then moved to RBC Dominion Securities, where he held various trading positions from 1988 to 1998, including spending the last four years of his tenure in New York as head of RBC's US Debt trading. He joined the sales desk at MTR in 1998 as a specialist in Canadian credits. Mr. Rudd is a CFA and a graduate of Queen's University in Canada. He was promoted to managing director in 2005, He is presently a senior member of the high yield institutional sales team and also is Sales Manager for the High Yield Department and Investment Grade Department.
